RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Uptown Oakland Redevelopment, Oakland, CA

MMS prepared the remapping and ALTAs for a public/private partnership to consolidate seventy-eight separate properties (four city blocks) into five developable lots. This project includes redevelopment of a blighted metropolitan neighborhood into four-story mixed-use of high density residential, office, and ground floor retail commercial uses. Issues included multiple ownerships, identification of several utility lines, historical mapping, street vacation, and timing.

Multi-Purpose Pipeline, Contra Costa County, CA

MMS provided survey and mapping for 22 miles of new 36-inch water pipeline adjacent to the Contra Costa Canal. Established horizontal and vertical control for planimetric and orthographic mapping, compiled 150 flight crosses and control points, and set permanent control network for the Contra Costa Water District. Responsibilities also included mapping and identifying easements, utilities, and constraints, as well as research of ownership rights involving federally owned land.
