SURVEYING

MMS has an in-house survey department dedicated to offering comprehensive and efficient survey services to our clients. We are outfitted with Total Station, electronic data collection capability, digital level, and Global Positioning System (GPS).

Staff capabilities include:

• Parcel, subdivision, and final map preparation
• Right-of-way surveys (including Caltrans Standards)
• Surveys for planning and design, including control, topography, and subdivision
• Horizontal and vertical control surveys, including precise level surveys
• Boundary Surveys and Records of Survey
• ALTA mapping
• Construction surveying, including computing, staking, and “record drawings” (as-builts)
• Topographic and utility field surveying and mapping
• Expert testimony and forensic services
• Map checking
• Full GPS mapping capability to provide layers for databases
